# Platform: how VenueX works

VenueX is a store data platform for multi-location retailers. Five modules share one set of store data: store details, Google reviews, stock by store and store sales. Software does the daily work, and the VenueX team handles setup and fixes together with the brand's own team.

## How VenueX works

VenueX works in four steps that repeat: Connect, Fix, Measure and Improve.

1. **Connect.** The brand sends its store list, stock by store and store sales by SFTP, API or file. VenueX does not connect to the brand's databases or production systems. The brand gives VenueX partner access to its own platform and ad accounts.
2. **Fix.** VenueX cleans the store list, matches store codes across the platforms and feeds, corrects pins and fixes feed and upload errors. The VenueX team raises duplicate and verification cases with the platforms. Changes to store details go live after the brand approves them.
3. **Measure.** Store details reach the map and search platforms, stock reaches Google and Meta, and store sales go to Google Ads, Meta and TikTok every day. VenueX reports results by store, campaign and platform, including offline ROAS next to online ROAS where the platform supports it.
4. **Improve.** VenueX and the brand agree the next fixes. The brand sets the priority. VenueX does the work and checks the result, and the loop starts again.

## Modules

A brand can start with one module and add more later. Every module uses the same store list and store codes.

| Module | What it does | Platforms |
|---|---|---|
| [Store presence](https://venuex.io/platform/store-presence) | Keeps store details correct on maps and search | Google, Apple Maps, Meta, Yandex |
| [Customer feedback](https://venuex.io/platform/reviews) | Collects Google reviews and prepares reply drafts | Google |
| [Local inventory](https://venuex.io/platform/local-inventory) | Sends stock by store to local inventory ads | Google, Meta |
| [Online-to-offline measurement](https://venuex.io/platform/offline-conversions) | Sends store sales to ad platforms and reports offline ROAS | Google Ads, Meta, TikTok |
| [VenueX AI (Beta)](https://venuex.io/platform/venuex-ai) | Answers questions about VenueX data and prepares changes | Works on the data of the other modules |

### Store presence

- Keeps store hours, phone numbers, descriptions and map pins correct on Google, Apple Maps, Meta and Yandex.
- Opens, closes and updates stores from one store list. One change goes to every platform.
- The VenueX team works on profile claims, verification and pin fixes with the platforms.
- Publishes local posts to groups of stores.
- Madame Coco manages 800+ stores this way: +45% direction requests, +80% website clicks and 7× more calls.

### Customer feedback

- Collects Google reviews for every store.
- Tags review topics, for example positive, negative, technical service and staff mentions. Brands can add their own topics.
- Prepares reply drafts in the brand's tone. A person edits and approves each reply before it is sent.
- Sends reviews to the right owner by email, Microsoft Teams or Slack, by topic, store or region. The VenueX team sets up the routing.

### Local inventory

- Sends product availability by store to Google Merchant Center and Meta catalogs, for local inventory ads.
- In stock or out of stock is enough. Exact stock counts are not needed. The minimum fields are product ID, store code and availability.
- The VenueX team reconciles store codes between Google Business Profile and Merchant Center, so stock lands on the right store.
- At launch, Boyner synced 208,000+ products across 126 stores.

### Online-to-offline measurement

- Uploads store sales to Google Ads, Meta and TikTok every day through their official APIs.
- Each sale carries a hashed email, phone number and name (SHA-256), the order value, the store code and the time. Product lines are optional.
- Sales from the 90 days before setup can be uploaded at the start.
- The ad platforms do the matching. VenueX reports offline ROAS next to online ROAS by platform, campaign, store and region, where the platform supports it.
- Koçtaş: 4.6× offline ROAS compared with online ROAS, and +112% store visits. Karaca: +350% store visits (June to August 2025 vs 2024) and +40% omnichannel ROAS.

### VenueX AI (Beta)

- An assistant inside the VenueX platform. It answers questions about locations, reviews, and Google and Meta ad results at campaign level.
- It prepares changes to location fields and review replies. The changes go live only after a person approves them.

## Where data goes

| Platform | What VenueX manages | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google | Store details on Google Business Profile, review replies, local inventory in Merchant Center | The only platform for review management |
| Apple Maps | Store details | |
| Meta | Store details, local inventory in Meta catalogs, store sales | Pages, catalogs and the ad account each need access |
| Yandex | Store details | |
| Google Ads | Store sales as offline conversions | |
| TikTok | Store sales | Ads only |

All accounts stay owned by the brand. VenueX works through partner access and does not take admin control.

## How data comes in

| Data | Typical source | Transfer | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Store list | Excel, ERP, website store locator or Google Sheet | File, SFTP or API | At setup, then when stores change |
| Stock by store | ERP, order management or e-commerce system, or Google Sheet | SFTP, API or file | Daily for most brands |
| Store sales | POS or CRM | SFTP, API or file. Personal data is hashed with SHA-256 | Daily |
| Google reviews | The brand's Google Business Profile | Account access | Ongoing |

## Software and service

| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| VenueX software | Syncs store details, collects and tags reviews, drafts replies, builds stock feeds, uploads store sales and reports results |
| VenueX team | Store audit, account recovery and access, store list clean-up, verification and duplicate cases, feed and upload errors, reports |
| Brand team | Owns the platform accounts, sends the store list, stock and sales, approves changes and replies, and handles legal sign-off |

## Setup

Most brands start with a store audit, a one-page check of their store profiles and reviews, or with a live demo. Then the brand and VenueX agree one use case, the owners and one success measure. In the public stories, Karaca connected its data in 3 weeks from kickoff and Koçtaş in 4 weeks.

## Frequently asked questions
